Are We Now Post-Apocalypse?

I guess you know why I ask. Yeah, the news the Commanders have been sold. I will wait for final confirmation.

I will say that the NFL, not just the Washington Commanders, is lucky to the point of overt blessedness if it proves true that Magic Johnson is now a part of the league. There is no greater competitor. There is no matching his athletic joy.

If you were lucky enough to live through the Magic-Bird years you know what is coming. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were the very definitions of athletic competition. There will be no backing down. And there will be passion for the game.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I was listening to Steve Spurrier on Kevin Sheehan. He said his second year he wasn't the one deciding who the quarterback should be. He also said he expected Bobby Beathard to be his general manager. These points are on Dan Snyder.

Many things are on Dan Snyder. Probably the worst thing is the destruction of the Washington Redskins. The history is essentially gone. Present day fans have little memory of the greats who matriculated here. They've only known the Snyder Era. A bleak time in a history that is no longer history. Truly an apocalypse.

I'm not going to forget the Redskins. I'm not going to forget the men who played here. They truly brought magic to D.C.

We recently celebrated Easter. There's no better time for magic to return to Washington.

There was no deeper dead to return from than the land of the dead we've been traversing through.
