Khan Noonien Singh: Deep State War Criminal

With an ebb in D.C. Football this weekend, I thought I would discuss a matter of prime importance in the Star Trek Universe.

That is the matter of one Khan Noonien Singh.

Who in hell was Khan Noonien Singh? To hear Captain Kirk, Admiral Marcus, and Science Officer Spock tell it, this guy was "absolute ruler" of a quarter of the Planet Earth in the 1990s. Decade of the so-called Eugenics Wars.

Problem is, there never has been a Eugenics War and those of us in "real life" who lived through the 1990s don't remember any genetic warfare taking place. This has always been the crack in the Star Trek Universe because the franchise has always been reverent toward history yet one of its primary characters has no apparent analogical application to history whatsoever.

Of course, history makes the assumption that the human race is aware of who it is that rules them.

This is why many Trek fans see Khan as a Deep State War Criminal.

Part of the reason some network executives did not like the first Star Trek Pilot, The Cage, I suspect is because the people in control of Talos 4 were A LOT LIKE NETWORK EXECUTIVES. Spinning illusions controlling what we are seeing. From underground Bunkers. Staging fake events and calling them history.

From a clandestine point of view, to do some self-scouting here, there has NEVER NOT BEEN A EUGENICS WAR. All forms of life on this world seek relentlessly to be at the top of the food chain.

One could argue that the World Wars were all about eugenics. About the secret desire to alter the human genome.

Khan's mastery of secrecy acts as a historical cloaking device. Khan was able to control the planet in ways Hitler's histrionic superiority complex would not allow. Hitler found his bunker too late. To rule the world you have to hide. Khan could hide anywhere. Even right next to you.

All of which places Khan in the Star Trek lineage of superiority critique which includes the Talosians and the Founders who masquerade among us real lifers as retail geneticians.

I think a story about how Khan is flushed out into the open would seal the crack in the Star Trek Narrative.

Hence, comes now Section 31.

What are Michelle Yeoh and the Guardian of Forever going to do?

I can think of no one better equipped to bring Khan Noonien Singh to justice than Phillipa Georgiou
