I got 19 picks out of NFL Mock Draft Database Simulator

I got 11 picks out of Pro Football Network's simulator.

Not realistic. Why I doubt the Simulators. But they work best as Fan Educators. Not predictors. You know. Who is out there. I'm not even sure they are accurate as far as selection chronology.

Coach Rivera fields Questions from Fresh Faces

Pro Football Focus The NFL Combine is turning into a social function. Another chance for the League to gather and gab. It is good to see your Coach encounter fresh faces and fresh questions.

And it is looking like Anthony Richardson's stock is ascendant while people are trying to "shorten" Bryce Young's prospects. If available, Washington should take either one. Young is "pro ready". Richardson needs "footwork training".

But lately the idea on Richardson is you can win on his physical talent alone. Do what Washington did in 2012 with Robert Griffin III. Richardson is a bigger guy than RGIII was and maybe he can take the pounding.

RGIII could have taken the pounding if his designed runs were "designed" correctly.

It looks as if the Bears might be in the market for a defensive tackle. I could see Washington and the Bears doing a Daron Payne sign and trade type deal for the Number One pick. It is probably going to take more than Daron Payne. The dreaded "future considerations" clause.

Marcus Kemp is now a Commander and folks are saying must be the end for Cam Sims. He's made too many plays to just dismiss him. I'd like to see him at Tight End especially if this new offense opens up the middle. He could be a Clint Didier type. Skinny tight end taking in 40 yarders.

There are some things in life you just have to do whether you want to or not. For Washington, it is bolstering the offensive line. They like the guys they have. But age and injuries are a factor. They were pulverized at times in the middle. That turned into a rap sheet for them and opponents took advantage. More of the same is on tap if something isn't done.

There is no sense having any expectations about any quarterback with an offensive line that can't keep the werewolves off his back.

I think you need 10 guys these days. I know Coaches are in love with cross-training and think they can alter the laws of physics with it. They can't. It is a delusion. Cross training 10 is ok. Cross training 6 is fantasy. Young guys starting. Veteran back-ups.

Speaking of Quarterback, signing Taylor Heinicke would be good for Sam Howell. It's time for Taylor to start thinking about his coaching career. Playing under Eric Bieniemy would be a plus on his CV. That leaves a third spot open for a young guy or a veteran. My guess is Rivera would like a Vet. A young guy would be good for Bieniemy the teacher. I'd love for that to be Young or Richardson but I don't think that is going to happen.
