Countering the Bozos With Guffaws

Four things I'm contemplating regarding Commanders Football.

Fraudulence

I'm getting a whiff of fraud charges as related to the success of the just concluded season. The roster wasn't really good enough to do what it did. Jayden Daniels was all Washington had. Everyone else was an NPC

This calls to mind the Laugh Your Ass Off Technique. A technique deployed with people who troll your accomplishments. You list five of their idiot arguments. Say them out loud in a Bozo voice. Laugh your ass off. Rinse and repeat as needed.

The 2024 Roster did what it did. Jayden had help. The Defense did not suck enough to miss the playoffs. Otherwise, there is no argument that explains what happened. If you try, you are going to start sounding ridiculous.

Let's look at the Draft.

Offensive Line

There are some O-Line Guys out there Washington could use who are projecting into the late rounds. Joshua Gray. Jake Majors.

Gray is a smart guy. Majors is the top rated Center in the Draft. He could go as low as the sixth round.

Defensive Line

In recent mocks I've done, Derrick Harmon, rated 26th, slipped to 29. He is monstrous. Collapses the middle. A hard to juke sure tackler. He sacks QBs like he has a tractor beam on them.

Kenneth Grant, a dude of considerable hulkishness, has often been available as well. He's a run stuffer.

Of course, people worry about the edges. Washington may have that covered before the Draft. If they do, I'd look at Shemar Stewart seriously. If not, I'd go for edges who have a little more experience. The guy from Ohio State would be a good pick. J.T. Tuimoloau.

Latest Mock

I took Harmon at 29. Sixty-one was Elic Ayomanor, a wide receiving PhD from Stanford. Brainy dude. Seventy-nine was TreVeyon Henderson, Running Back from Ohio State. I took turnover happy Malachi Moore from the Crimson Tide, a safety who could probably play corner, at 148. Jake Majors was available at 197. Joshua Gray was there at 207.

I liked BYU Edge Tyler Batty at 231
