Here's some thumbnail film on the Arizona Cardinals:
The QB School's take on Clayton Tune. Tune's Preseason highlights.
Some Josh Dobbs highlights.
The Reid Offense 10 Days ago. KC versus AZ last year with a different AZ coaching staff.
The Super Bowl matching Reid/EB against Jonathan Gannon, the New Arizona Coach then with the Eagles. Greg Cosell's analysis on Ross Tucker.
Arizona's Ranks in 2022. Depth chart per website.
There is a lot of talk about this team tanking. That's trap game fulmination. The Cardinals have enough to beat Washington especially if the Commanders buy the buzz.
Washington should not listen to buzz of any kind. Their own or other teams' buzzes.
Right now, expect Clayton Tune to start. But Josh Dobbs would be a bigger problem for Washington. Both can play.
Going on concepts alone, considering scheme versus scheme, last year's ranks, Washington's running game will be pivotal. Arizona was worse versus the pass so it wouldn't be surprising to see them struggle against Washington's receiving corps.
But if the Commanders get into a track meet they'll be closer to an opening loss. Ironically, offensive success could promote that scenario. Track meets are nothing to Eric Bieniemy but the Commander defense hasn't got a lot of experience with that kind of game. I'd try to sustain drives, keep the Cardinals mobile spread offense wunderkinds off the field, and keep the defense fresh.
But if we are going to play track meets, we may as well get one under our belts as soon as possible.
The Commanders 42, Clayton Tune 41.
Or Josh Dobbs 45, Commanders 44.
Preferably, Washington 24, Arizona 10.
