Here's a scouting bibliography on the 2023 Chicago Bears:
Bears versus Commanders, Stats
The Bears ran for 237 yards against us last year. They wound up leading the league in rushing yards. Commanders runstopping so far leaves no reason to believe the Bears won't also be able to run this year.
QB School's Analysis of Justin Fields v. Green Bay
Bears play the Chief-style offense. Chiefs ran for 153 and had a balanced attack--37 rushes, 38 passes.
Justin Fields had an awesome first half. Succumbed to turnovers in the second.
The following two games illustrate the Bears performance against the run game last year.
Fields was sacked 55 times last year. D.J. Moore is an excellent receiver.
Intangibles
This past weekend, the Bears made progress coming back from the Alan Williams episode and Justin Fields complaining about the offense. Commanders will need to avoid being a part of a Bears surge. Everything about the Bears Offense screams NFC East Scrambler scoring machine and is excellent preparation for NFC East Wars.
They're a perfect challenge for this Commander Defense. Do we see the passion and the sacks and turnovers? Or will they continue to underperform?
Wounded Bears are never to be underestimated. The Bears of 1985 used to bitch at each other. They had three seasons of dominant performances. Sometimes saying "just give me the damn ball" produces win streaks.
Underestimating your opponent is a form of NFL stupidity.
