Draft Mockery Finale: Hogs on a Magic Carpet Ride

A little Sam Spence is in order for tomorrow night the NFL Draft commences and the Washington Commanders select Joe Alt, tackle, Notre Dame Fighting Irish with the Number 4 overall pick.

I'm punting on Caleb, Jayden, Drake, and J.J.

Let's go on a magic carpet ride.

Put this mock together using ESPN's Mock Draft Simulator, significantly slower but reputedly more accurate than Pro Football Network's Simulator. Did several trades before engaging. First with Arizona, then Chicago. Then basically did swaps for more picks.

Joe Alt was Round 1, Pick 4 with availability percentage at 95%.

Scheming to select J.J. McCarthy with Number 9 I was beaten to the punch by the New England Patriots as J.J. went Number 3 overall. Instead, figuring we need TWO tackles, I selected Troy Fautanu Round 1, Pick 9. Return of the Hogs.

Round 2, Pick 43 was Bo Nix. Quarterback. Availability rated at 34%. Not good. Yes, Penix was gone. Seahawks got him.

Round 3, Pick 67 was Cam Hart, Cornerback, Notre Dame, 84% availability rating.

Round 3, Pick 78 was Tight End Ja'Tavion Sanders at 50% availability.

Round 3, Pick 100 was Edge/30 Visitor Jalyx Hunt at 91% availability.

Round 5, Pick 139 was Christian Mahogany, Roadgrading Guard at 65% availability.

Round 5, Pick 152 was Linebacker/30 Visitor Tyrice Knight at 81% availability.

Round 5, Pick 160 was Luke McCaffery, wide receiver, at 62% availability.

Round 5, Pick 163 was Edge Myles Cole at 95% availability.

Round 6, Pick 200 was Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, wide receiver, at 70% availability.

Round 6, Pick 204 was QB Kedon Slovis at 95% availability.

Round 7, Pick 222 was wide receiver Cornelius Johnson at 78% availability.
