Draft Mockery Episode 5: Jayden and an O-Line

I'm wondering, as we look at my mock episode 5, whether there will be panic buying on QBs. I don't think the QB Class is better than the Offensive Line Class, but there are guys who should do well in the NFL IN THIS QB CLASS.

You can't assume that Jayden will be there at 4 or 5 if you trade for an O-Line pick in the First Round. I've been burned on that a few times. Fortunately, a couple times Michael Penix was there. And he may be there at 36 even if we get Jayden or Drake or J.J.

That's a hard choice for me because I think Michael Penix Jr. is ready to play ball. I think most of us have 36 earmarked for O-Line.

The Teams the Pro Football Network Simulator seems to think are going to ask Washington to dance for that Number 2 Overall are Arizona, New England, and Minnesota. I have a feeling Vegas will make a play as well. With Denver on the outside rail. In this mock, I just swapped places with the Patriots and fortunately they took Drake Maye.

New England has Jacoby so Drake Maye, as some recommend, can sit while Brissett takes the Patriots to the Playoffs.

Number 3 was Jayden. Number 36 was Jordan Morgan, T, Arizona. Number 40 was Christian Haynes a Guard from UConn who some say can play tackle. Number 67 was Sedrick Van Pran-Granger the Center from Georgia. Seventy-eight was Marshawn Kneeland the Edge from Western Michigan.

I traded the 100th for more picks in Adam Peters territory, the two hundreds. The 200s seem a good place to move to if you have Undrafted Free Agents you really are worried you can't compete for on the open market.

I took Kingsbury familiar RB MarShawn Lloyd from USC at 129. I took TCU TE Jared Wiley at 139. UTEP LB Tyrice Knight was taken at 152. South Dakota State Tackle Garret Greenfield was taken at 177. Edge Brennan Jackson from Washington State was taken 203. Corner Jarius Monroe was 207. Charles Turner III the Center from LSU was 212. Anim Dankwah the tackle from Howard was taken at 222.

A.J. Barner, the Michigan Tight End, was taken 236.

My perennial favorites Christian Mahogany, Cooper Beebe, Darius Robinson, Johnny Wilson, and Johnny Dixon were all in range. Keep an eye out for Michael Penix Jr.'s status. They may be blinking on his injury history and he'd be a steal at 36.

Having Hogs Haven's report on 30 visits and Pro Days handy while you do your mocks will help.

Don't forget to go over to Rico's and watch the Draft. No one has better info.
