How Can Rivera Get Bieniemy To Washington?

I don't know how the Commanders get Eric Bieniemy to D.C. I have some hunches. Do you?

There are those who feel Anthony Richardson from Florida will be available at Washington's Draft Position in the first round. I don't know if you have seen this guy. Big guy. Big arm. Can run. And, important for our purposes, he can score points. 

The down side is it appears he's not ready to be an "NFL Quarterback". I get that. But you can win with a Quarterback who is not ready to be an "NFL Quarterback". A quarterback that generates points, for instance. I'm thinking Richardson will generate points his rookie year no matter where he ends up.

But this is what you tell Bieniemy. If Richardson falls to 16 we will pick him. You, Professor EB, cultivate him. If someone snatches him before we do, we have Sam Howell who has attributes you are used to coaching. We think you can succeed with both of them and with us.

What do we do about the O-Line? We have the rest of the draft to bolster it. If we don't see a QB you like in the first round, we will go O-Line from pick one. Just to make it interesting we make you Assistant Head Coach--Offense. We encourage you to bring YOUR list of QBs with you to Washington. We'll do our damndest to go after them.

I mean Sam Howell is enticing enough a prospect as a modern point-guard QB. But if you can get Richardson, who would be a project similar to the way Patrick Mahomes was a project, that might get the hire. 

Of course, there's no guarantee Bieniemy even likes Richardson. Maybe he says Riverboat you are down with the Bears trade for that Number One and get me Bryce Young. How the hell does that happen? Sign and trade Daron Payne? Is sign and trade still legal? Does Rivera even have the guts to make that bet?

If you are going to lose Daron anyway, why not guarantee he's set for life as a thank you for his amazing work?
